1. Introduction – Setting the Stage Opening blessing and welcome to the congregation. Introduction to the sermon theme: “Power Lunch.” Comparison to modern “power lunches” — where major life and business decisions happen. Connection: Jesus’ meeting with Zacchaeus was the ultimate power lunch — a divine appointment that changed a life. 2. The Story of Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1–10) Zacchaeus: a wealthy tax collector, socially rejected but spiritually searching. Heard about Jesus and wanted to see Him — curiosity sparked by attraction to something deeper. Represents all of us who long to see Jesus for who He really is. 3. Lesson One – The Attraction What drew Zacchaeus to Jesus? A hunger for truth and transformation. Spiritual curiosity awakening within him. Application: People today are still drawn to authenticity, truth, and love — the same qualities found in Christ. 4. Lesson Two – View Blockers Zacchaeus couldn’t see Jesus because of the crowd — physical and symbolic “view blockers.” View blockers represent anything that obstructs our vision of God: Fear, doubt, pride, other people’s opinions, or life distractions. Instead of giving up, Zacchaeus found a higher vantage point — he climbed the sycamore tree. Message: Don’t let your view blockers keep you from seeing Jesus. Find another way, another perspective. 5. Lesson Three – Seeker-Colored Glasses Jesus noticed Zacchaeus — He saw him with eyes of love, not judgment. “Seeker-colored glasses” represent seeing others as God sees them: Without prejudice or criticism. With compassion, acceptance, and spiritual awareness. Jesus didn’t condemn Zacchaeus; He invited Himself to his home, showing that love transforms more than judgment ever can. 6. Modern Application We all encounter “Zacchaeuses” — people searching for meaning and belonging. We must: Recognize those who are spiritually curious. Push past our own blockers (bias, fear, comfort zones). Be ready for divine “power lunches” — conversations that bring salvation, hope, and renewal. 7. The Result of the Power Lunch Zacchaeus’ life was completely transformed: He repented. Restored what he had stolen. Experienced salvation for himself and his household. Key takeaway: A single encounter with Jesus changes everything. 8. Final Challenge What attracts others to Jesus in your life? What are your “view blockers”? Are you willing to see people through “seeker-colored glasses”? Jesus still meets people today — often through you. 9. Closing Declaration “It’s time for a power lunch — an encounter that changes lives.”

The message focuses on the biblical foundation of authority, dominion, and spiritual empowerment given to humanity from the beginning of creation. Drawing from Genesis 1 and 2, the speaker emphasizes that when God breathed life into Adam, it was not only the beginning of physical life but also a prophetic act that conferred divine inspiration, authority, and dominion over the earth. The message highlights that humans were created in God’s image with the instinct to rule, protect, and establish territory—both in the natural and spiritual realms. Through stories about animals (panthers, bears, lions, red pandas, penguins, and sloths), the preacher illustrates the importance of natural instinct and environment, noting that animals thrive best in their natural habitat. In the same way, believers thrive spiritually when they walk in the authority and calling God has placed on them. The sermon urges listeners not to remain “caged” by fear, unforgiveness, rejection, or low self-esteem, but instead to awaken the “wild instinct” within them through the power of the Holy Spirit. Like lions ruling in the wild rather than in captivity, Christians are called to step into their God-given authority and territory. Ultimately, the message ties back to the theme “This land is your land, this land is my land,” applying it spiritually: God has given His people dominion everywhere they go, across nations and territories. By embracing the Spirit’s empowerment, believers can walk in freedom, authority, and victory, fulfilling the purpose God established from the beginning.

We've got to get ready and believe that God is going to open our eyes and know that the work of the Holy Spirit, without Him, our eyes can't see anything. We're blind without the spirit of God. That's why we have to hunger for Him. We have to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and with fire, according to what the Bible says. He will baptize us with the Holy Spirit and fire, and that's what opens our eyes, and that's what gives us understanding. That's what feeds our spirit, so that we can be edified, exhorted, and comforted by God.
